CCM custom Helmet for 9 year Old LEo

We had and continue to have, such an unexpected and wonderful experience with the
Cederstrand Foundation. Our family met the Cederstand’s when they moved next door
to us. Our son Leo was born deaf and has bilateral cochlear implants. One day getting
out of the truck in the drive way, Chris came to say hi as always, he noticed Leo’s
cochlears and very politely asked questions about them, we happily explained. As Leo
was in baseball we explained that for a helmet to fit properly we would have to cut foam out as well as strategically put it on as not to have the cochlear fall off. Chris didn’t
hesitate, lit up and said “what do you think about a custom helmet? I would love to help him out with that” and then explained his foundation. We were so excited and thrilled that someone saw Leo and could see a need. True to his word Chris got Leo to Source for Sports in Okotoks and had Leo fitted for a custom helmet. Not only did Leo get the proper protection for his head, Chris went above and beyond and gifted him with new baseball gear, glove, bag, bat. I honestly could not believe the generosity and how special they wanted Leo to feel. We are so grateful that Leo was seen. We are so
appreciative of this wonderful foundation that just wants the best for these little guys and gals that just need something more accommodating to their specific needs. We are truly honored to be a recipient from this incredible foundation. We are so thankful to the Cederstrand Foundation, not only for the foundation but for this wonderful family with hearts of gold! This truly brought us together and Shannon is such a rockstar. My heart feels full when I think of this memory.

Thank you for all the good you bring to this world.

Phys. Ed Equipment for KhuBaib to Join into Class Games

As a school community we are immensely grateful to the Cederstrand Foundation for providing Khubaib with adaptive sports equipment that will allow him to fully participate in physical education classes alongside his peers for years to come. As a visually impaired student, this gift is a game-changer for Khubaib, enabling him to continue to engage in sports with confidence and inclusion.  What made this experience even more remarkable was that Chris Cederstrand himself took the time to personally present the equipment to Khubaib. He also addressed our entire school community during our Olympic-themed sports day, highlighting the importance of making sport accessible to everyone. His presence and message resonated deeply with students and staff alike, reinforcing the values of inclusivity and empathy. This gift is not only an incredible opportunity for Khubaib but also for his peers, who now have the chance to experience sports through his perspective. It is a powerful reminder of how sport can unite and inspire, and we are truly thankful and humbled by this incredibly generous and thoughtful contribution.

At our inaugural event we gave out our first piece of adaptive equipment.

"On behalf of our family we wanted to thank you and your foundation for sponsoring our daughter's para hockey sled.  She has always had the drive and determination, but with this sled she has been able to further increase her speed, maneuverability, and bring her game to the next level.  Within nine months of receiving the sled Hailey became a member of Canada's Women's Para Hockey team! Your foundation has provided a big assist with her fulfilling her dream of representing Canada in para ice hockey." From Hailey's mom: Maureen King
